Is your copy of Pinocchio the black embedded clamshell or the white embedded clamshell? And what is the date on the tape's end label?

Also, that Red Heat demo tape has the 1984 TriStar Pictures logo intact, which is odd, since the regular VHS went straight to the Carolco logo; TriStar handled theatrical distribution for Carolco titles at that time.
